Zoe-perry
Perry was born to Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). Perry made her debut in television shows as Jackie Harris, a character that was played by her mother on the ABC sitcom Roseanne. In fear of stress, her parents were not keen to let her pursue acting before she turned 18. Perry confessed that she wasn't comfortable acting in high school, but started performing as a means to make friends at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Following her graduation, Perry relocated into New York to search for jobs on television, landing small parts in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent but homesickness brought Perry back home to California which is where she discovered acting work. Perry performed with her mom as part of The Other Place at Broadway at the end of 2013. The show was directed by Eugene O'Neill. Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie and Kevin McKidd. This was staged in the West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry played nine roles in The Family, an ABC thriller The Family, in 2016. In 2017, Perry had the role of a political thriller Scandal with her father. The actress also portrayed the older Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon, an CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. The part was offered an audition to the actress, even though she was a cousin with the role.
