Hayley orrantia was born in America. She is primarily an actress, but she's also a songwriter and singer. Many people know her from her character in the role of Erica Goldberg on the popular TV show 'The Goldbergs.' She is, however, an avid music fan. At the age of 9 of age, she was dabbling into music. When she was 12 years old, music was taken seriously enough to warrant professionally trained. The singer-songwriter began writing songs at 13 and was only 14 when she made her debut album of covers songs. It has been non-stop ever since. Orrantia was born in the USA but has Hispanic origins. Despite the fact that she only spoke English as a child and never been to Mexico Orrantia is happy with her Hispanic background. Through studying Spanish and composing songs, she tries to preserve the tradition. "Hasta Verte" which is a song with Spanish lyrics that she has recorded, can be a perfect illustration. Orrantia was selected to audition for the X Factor's inaugural season during the summer of 2011. Orrantia auditioned, and was chosen from YouTube videos, received four "yeses," from judges in Seattle in the live audition stage. She was originally an individual performer. However, following "Hollywood Week", three other female performers were added to groups to take part in the auditions. They were eliminated at the end of the fifth show.
